Wild Michigan Ingredients for Your Menu

Gourmet Gleaner supplies Michigan kitchens with wild-foraged mushrooms, small-batch herbs, and specialty ingredients that don't come through a standard produce distributor — wild-harvested and small-grown, right from Wayland.

Reserve a season ahead

Everything we offer is wild-foraged or grown in small batches — there's no warehouse behind it. Once a season's harvest is spoken for, it's gone until the same time next year. Restaurants that submit a request at least one season ahead get first claim on what comes in; walk-up requests are filled only if supply allows.

What's in season, roughly

Wild harvests depend on weather and can't be scheduled precisely — this is a general guide, not a guarantee. Submit a request below and we'll follow up with real availability for the season you're planning around.

Common Questions

How far ahead should I really request?

A full season ahead is ideal — e.g. put in a spring morel request by winter. Wild harvests are limited and go to reserved orders first, so the earlier we know you're planning around something, the better your odds.

What happens if a harvest comes in smaller than expected?

Wild foraging depends on weather and conditions we don't control. If a season runs short, reserved requests are filled in the order they came in before anything goes to general shop stock.

Do you deliver, or is it pickup?

Both, depending on your location and order size — you can also find us at the Wayland Michigan Farmers Market on Wednesdays 3–7pm and Saturdays 9am–2pm. We'll sort out the details once you submit a request.

Can I see the full product list first?

Yes — browse the shop for current items, pricing, and descriptions. Not everything wild-harvested makes it to the online shop in small quantities, so ask if you're after something specific.
